HORN SECTION
(Pepe, Creeper, Josh, Richard, & Howard)
Jose 'Pepe' Maldonado
Pepe Maldonado, Mr. Cool! He is the guy in the group
that is admired by all! Pepe is the horn section leader
and co-musical director for the Mambo Jazz Kings. He
is a very talented alto and baritone saxophone player
and an extraordinary soloist. Pepe started off recording
and performing Tejano music, but he can lay down a
funky rhythm and blues line as good as any other, if
not better! His knowledge of music and direction
makes for an outstanding addition to this band!
Clarence 'Creeper' Harper
Creeper hails from Cuero, Texas. He was a music
major in college and a former music teacher for the
Houston Independent School District. Creeper was an
original member of the famed TSU Tornados. He has
traveled the world extensively and played with greats
such as Archie Bell and The Drells. Creeper is a
talented musician, playing the trumpet, flugel horn
and cornet.
Josh Migues
Josh Migues has been playing music for fifteen
years. He currently attends College of the Mainland
where he is a member of Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo,
Flute Ensemble, and Sax Ensemble. On stage with
MJK Josh plays Baritone Sax and Flute. That is truly
only one of his many talents, this young man can
also play tenor sax, alto sax, soprano sax, and
clarinet!
Richard Moore
Born and raised in Brookshire, Texas; Richard
Moore has been playing music his whole life.  This
year he joined the Mambo Jazz Kings as our new
lead tenor sax player.  Richard has performed with
many bands including New Breed, Every Day
People, Touch Band, Flavor Band, Icesis Band, and
the legendary TSU Toronados Band!  Richard is a
gifted musician being able to play all woodwind
instruments-tenor, soprano, alto, clarinet, flute and
can also play piano!  Another GREAT talented we
have recruited and are so, please to have!
